Candles with layers of colour
Self-made candles are ideal as a personal gift. In the candle workshop, you will learn about various manufacturing and decorating techniques under expert guidance. To make candles with several layers of colour, 60 to 80 dips are necessary. In between, the candles are cooled in a water bath. Finally, the still warm candle is cut in the outer area with a knife. The cut "lobes" are then turned outwards - and the whole colour spectrum becomes visible.
Various casting and decorating techniques
Create your own cube, picture or natural candles:
- In the production of cube candles, coloured wax cubes are filled into a candle mould, which is poured with liquid wax.
- Picture candles are created by placing a picture on a candle blank and fixing it by dipping it into a wax bath. After consultation, the special transfer foil can be created from your own photos (one picture per person in the format 9 x 13 cm, send it by e-mail at least one week in advance).
- Decorate your candle with small, decorative natural elements such as cinnamon sticks, dried orange slices, shells, etc. by pouring them into the candle shell, i.e. the outermost layer. >/ul>
Small snack in between
The workshop takes place in a professionally equipped room in Zurich. We will be happy to serve you a fine snack or aperitif with drinks and sweet and salt confectionary in an adjoining room in between or after the candle making.
